A box of flat-pack furniture is a stack of look-alike panels, a bag of cam locks and dowels, and an instruction sheet with no words. Get one panel backwards or one cam lock under-seated and the whole piece racks, wobbles, or won't take the next part. We assemble it correctly the first time - every joint fully seated, every piece square and level - and we anchor tall furniture to the wall so it's safe. Whether it's a single IKEA nightstand or a houseful after a Santa Clarita move, we build it, level it, and clean up the boxes.

How Our Furniture Assembly Works

1

Unbox and inventory

We lay out the panels, count the cam locks, dowels, and screws against the parts list, and flag anything missing or damaged before we start building.

2

Build it square

We follow the sequence, seat every cam-lock and dowel joint fully, and keep the piece square as it goes together so drawers and doors line up.

3

Level and anchor

We level the piece on your floor and, for anything tall or top-heavy, anchor it to a wall stud with the correct hardware so it can't tip.

4

Place and clean up

We move the finished piece where you want it, wipe it down, and break down and haul away the cardboard, foam, and packaging.

What Does Furniture Assembly Cost?

Most single pieces are a same-visit build. Pricing depends on how many items you have, how complex they are (a six-drawer dresser or wall-hung wardrobe takes longer than a nightstand), and whether wall anchoring is involved. We give a firm, free quote up front - no hourly surprises. If several boxes arrived at once after a move or a nursery setup, bundling them into one visit is the most cost-effective way to go, and it helps to know the common furniture assembly mistakes we're built to avoid.

Furniture Assembly FAQs

Quick answers before you book

Do you anchor furniture to the wall?

Yes, and we recommend it for anything tall or top-heavy - dressers, bookcases, wardrobes, and especially bunk beds. We locate a stud and use the correct anti-tip bracket so the piece can't tip over, which matters most in homes with kids or in earthquake country like ours.

What if a part is missing?

We inventory the hardware before building, so we usually catch a shortage early. For a missing cam lock, dowel, or screw we can often supply a matching replacement from our own stock; for a missing panel we'll let you know so you can request the part from the manufacturer, then come back to finish.

Do you assemble IKEA furniture?

All the time. IKEA, plus Wayfair, Amazon, Target, and any other flat-pack brand. Their cam-lock and dowel systems are exactly what we build every day, so the wordless instructions and look-alike panels aren't a problem.

Can you haul away the boxes?

Yes. We break down the cardboard, gather the foam and plastic, and take the packaging with us so you're not left with a pile of flattened boxes in the garage.
